The Allen - or Alleyn - family

We were contacted by a lady who lives in Loughborough who while researching her family of her father's side discovered that her 7 x great grandfather was born in Coleorton. She remembers from her childhood that her grandfather lived in Aston, Birmingham, and had assumed the family originated from there. So she was surprised and delighted to find that earlier generations had lived in Coleorton and elsewhere in Leicestershire.

The research goes back beyond the first census in 1801 using parish records and court records.
