Picnic in the Wood
King Charles III Coronation celebrations at Coleorton
Unfortunately we had to postpone the Picnic because of the very wet weather. We hope to reschedule for later in the summer when the weather may be a bit more friendly.
Come and celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III (and have some fun!) with a Picnic in the Wood
on Bank Holiday Monday 8 May 2pm to 5pm
Enjoy an afternoon in our own Coleorton Wood, Pitt Lane, off The Moor LE67 8FS.
There will be fun, activities and games for the youngsters. Fancy dress!

(sorry no barbecues or alcohol)
Messy Church will have fun crafts and “make-your-own-crowns;” Coronations past, photos and “Sleuthing” from the Heritage Group; the Coleorton & New Lount Volunteers will show their work managing and caring for the wood and its inhabitants.
There is a car-park at the Wood but please don't park on Pitt Lane. Walk or cycle if you can. Well behaved dogs are welcome. And of course, Coleorton Wood is a nature reserve so please make sure you dispose of any rubbish in our bins or take it home.
This is a Wood - which has brambles, nettles, rabbit-holes and other natural things. So wear suitable shoes and if you venture into the wooded bits - take care.
