Our Group is concerned with researching, recording and making publicly available local heritage, social, industrial and family history. We also support various restoration projects, for example the Bakehouse.
Projects include:

The 1939 Register for Coleorton is now complete and the project to transcribe the 1911 census is well underway. We also need to revisit the census records we have on the website for earlier years to ensure they include parts of the village which were recorded under Worthington and Thringstone. Volunteers to transcribe and check records are still welcome.
When the weather is more clement we'll be commencing an audit of St George's cemetery in Peggs Green at the top of Church Hill. Many Coleorton and Peggs Green residents were buried there. There are also a number of outdoor projects to survey local sites of interest.
If you would like to help with these tasks phone Terry Ward on 01530835701 or email terryjward@aol.com
